    Pat the ribeye dry and season liberally with salt and pepper.

    Heat olive oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet over high heat until smoking.

    Sear the ribeye for 2-3 minutes per side until a deep crust forms.

    Reduce heat to medium, add butter, rosemary, and garlic to the pan.

    Baste the steak continuously with the butter mixture for 3-5 minutes, flipping once.

    Remove steak from pan and let rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes.

    Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
